Abell, Francis LEE, 89,
youngest child of Charles William and Lottie Brown Abell, passed away on April 18, 2015. Lee was born in Louisville , Kentucky on August 17, 1925.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Helen Lorena Walk Abell; son, M. Alan Abell; Great Granddaughter, Keiara'Lee Elizabeth Bodytko; and son-in-law, Patrick Lawrence Ray, Sr.; His Parents, Brothers :Forrest (Bud), Albert, Eugene, and Ralph Abell ; Sisters Thelma, Naomi, Pauline, Beatrice and Edith.
Lee is survived by his 2 daughters , Marcia Lea Ray and Tracy Beth Sheppard ( Damon); grandchildren , Wayne Alan Bodytko, Tara Blake Bodytko, Lindsay Alexandria Bodytko; Patrick Lawrence Ray, Jr. ( Amanda), Leigh Ann Ray, Jennifer Marie Tackett (Ron), and Great Grandchildren, Keaton , Kassidy, and Lillian Elizabeth Bodytko, Dustin Jolly ,Jr. ;Derrick Jr., Landen, and Trace Pendleton; Shaylin Riggs, Lilly Marie Tackett, Brayden, Camden, and Jillian Ray ,with another on the way!
Lee was a retiree of The Louisville Gas and Electric Company and a longtime member of Rockford Lane Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.
Lee was an avid Bowler , reader of Fiction and History, and enjoyed golfing with his buddies after his retirement.
He will be greatly and forever missed by his family and friends.
Funeral service will be at Owen Funeral Home , 5317 Dixie Highway on Thursday, April 23rd at 1pm. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 22 From 12 pm To 8 pm
Interment at Louisville Memorial Gardens West .
