Henry J. Levesque, age 86, of Tiverton, passed away peacefully at home on April 16, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia (Perry) Levesque who he missed dearly, and son of the late Arthur and Yvonne (Mansfield) Levesque. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, and also served in the U.S. Navy, a machinist for New England Butt Manufacturing and owner of Henry Shoe and Leather Repair on Second St. in Fall River. Henry enjoyed bicycling, walking, camping, trains and above all spending time with his family.
Henry is survived by his children: Christopher Gerard Levesque (wife Diane) of Tiverton, RI, Mary Ann Walker (husband Russell J.) of Warwick, RI, Yvonne Souza (husband David M.) of Swansea, MA, and Jeannine L. Witham (husband Jason W.) of Carolina, RI; grandchildren: Amanda (husband Danny), Adam (wife Caitlyn), Kristen, Karissa, William, Justin, Lyuba, & Nadya, sister: Cecile Atkinson, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gerard Levesque.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on TUESDAY at 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernadette’s Church, at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
