Dartmouth-Bertha Barboza Rogers, 87 of Dartmouth, died on April 14, 2015. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late William and Caroline Barboza. Married to the late Earle Kenneth Rogers. She worked in E.K.Rogers Television until it's closing when she went onto graduate from UMASS Dartmouth in 1981. She worked at G.N.B.Vocational High School until her retirement in 1995 as a Guidance Counselor and was loved by her students. She lived life to it's fullest and most enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas. She was an avid animal lover, especially her cats.
She leaves a son: Elliott K Rogers and his wife Ana of Dartmouth, a daughter: Carolyn Rogers-Dupont and her husband Paul of Fairhaven, her grand-daughter Rebecca Gaudreau Hardy and her husband Chad and three great-grandchildren Adiah Christine, Eamon Kenneth, and Isla Marie of Assonet. Her grand-daughter Melissa Mello and great-grandchild Harper Lilly Mello.
Her Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, April 22 at 10:00 A.M. at St Joseph/St Theresa Church, Acushnet Ave. N.B. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford Ma 02740.
