Vasilios “Billy” T. Nicolaou, 81, died on Wednesday, April 15 in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Eleni (Papas) Nicolaou; a son, Chris Nicolaou of Worcester; a daughter, Fran Nicolaou of Worcester; three sisters, Maria Arhou, Barbara Haikali and Euvyenia Tsimis all of Athens, Greece and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gregory and Jimmy Nicolaou.
He was born in Athens, Greece the son of Theodore and Efrosini (Dallas) Nicolaou. Billy was a proud employee of Table Talk Pie Company for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Mr. Nicolaou enjoyed watching soccer and was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and New York Yankees.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 21st from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a service at 11:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
