FALL RIVER - Louis Oliveira, age 89, residence 400 Columbia St. Fall River, formerly of Beeden Rd., Westport & Marble St., Somerset, died Saturday in Fall River at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Angelina Oliveira. He is survived by 1 Son: William G. Oliveira of Maryville, TN, 1 Daughter: Doreen M. Arruda of Concord, NH, 1 Sister: Margaret Carvalho of Anaheim, CA. He was the grandfather of William L. & Joseph Oliveira, Kathleen Forrest, Neil & Kevin Arruda. He was the great-grandfather of 5. Uncle to several Nieces and Nephews. He was the brother of the late 8 brothers & sisters.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Manuel M. Oliveira and the late Margaret M. (Silvia) Oliveira. Before retiring, he worked for the Nu-Brite Chemical Co. of Taunton as a Truck Driver for 15 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Somerset and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
His funeral will take place on Thursday, Feb. 10th at 9:00 A.M. from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. Fall River, followed by a funeral service in the First Congregational Church, Rock St. Fall River at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, County St. Somerset.
