Obituary

LARGO, FL: Arvid S. Johnson, Jr., 78, of Largo, Fla., formerly of Northboro, MA and Boylston, MA died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 in St. Petersburg, Fla., after a short illness.
He leaves his wife, Lois C. (Courtney) Johnson; four sons, Scott A. Johnson and his wife Joanne of Worcester, Russell P. Johnson and his wife Margaret of Lutz, Fla., Steven B. Johnson and Laura Barry of West Yarmouth, Mark A. Johnson and his wife Nancy of Raymond, NH; a daughter, Robin L. Benjamin and her husband Paul of South Yarmouth, MA; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Arvid S. Johnson, Sr. and Esther (Olson) Johnson. He graduated from Auburn High School and was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. He lived in Northboro and in Boylston before moving to Florida in 1975.
Mr. Johnson was a longtime Worcester area businessman having owned and operated a tool and die manufacturing company for many years before he retired.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 7, in the CHAPEL at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 73 Lancaster St., Worcester, followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. A CALLING HOUR will be held in the CHURCH CHAPEL from 9 a.m. until the start of the service. The family suggests donations in Arvid's memory be made to a charity of one's choice. KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA, is assisting the family with arrangements.
