BEVERLY: Patricia F. (DiNardo) O’Neil, 78, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in the Beverly Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Edward “Ted” O’Neil.
Born in Beverly on May 1, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Difeo) DiNardo. She was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1953 and has resided in Beverly most of her life.
Pat had worked in the main office at Beverly High School during the 1970’s. She enjoyed being a homemaker and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Mark O’Neil and his wife, Cheryl of Chester, NH, Jeffrey O’Neil of Danvers and Teddy O’Neil and his wife, Hilde of Bard Bentheim, Germany; son-in-law, Jay Mazzella of Danvers; five grandchildren, Hailey Mazzella, Brendan O’Neil, Ashley O’Neil, Erin O’Neil and Joseph Mazzella; a great-granddaughter, Morigan Mazzella; two sisters, Frances Pascucci of Wellesley and Kathleen Long of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Julie O’Neil-Mazzella and a brother-in-law, Philip Pascucci.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be held in North Beverly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
