Mariellen Rowe, 54 of Derry, NH passed away on Wednesday April 15, 2015 at Elliot Hospital of Manchester, NH surrounded by her loving family, after her two year battle with cancer. She was born March 14, 1961 in Malden, MA, and was a daughter of Mary (Frassica) Morris and the late Norman Perkins. Mariellen was a graduate of Lynnfield High School and attended Salem State College. She has been a resident of Derry with her family since 1988.
Members of her family include her husband of 29 years, Robert “Scott” Rowe of Derry, her two daughters, Heather and Danielle Rowe, of Derry, her mother and husband, Mary and Ken Morris of Topsfield, MA, a sister and her husband, Cathy and Brian Sullivan of Georgetown, MA, her brother, Vishnu Dass of Weaverville, NC, as well as two nephews, Tim and Evan and one niece, Shanti.
Mariellen had been employed as a bookkeeper for many years prior to becoming a Realtor with Chestnut Properties. She was a registrar in the ED at both Parkland and Elliot hospital. Importantly, she has been a Yoga Instructor with the Derry Parks and Recreation Dept. since 2008. Mariellen enjoyed gardening, reading, family, and was a dedicated advocate for children with disabilities, especially her daughter Danielle, and was the recording secretary for Community Crossroads of Atkinson, NH.
Calling hours were Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 3 to 7 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday, April 20th at 10 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry, with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery of E. Derry.
