FALL RIVER… Mark R. Fay, 52, of Fall River passed away April 13, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Linda (Patt) Fay.
Born in Naperville, IL, he was a son of William M. and Patricia (Mather) Fay of Oregon, IL. He had visited family the Fall River/Westport area as a youth before moving here with his own family in 1999.
Mr. Fay will be remembered as an enthusiastic, charismatic, caring man. He took great joy in entertaining those close to him with his inviting cooking, quick wit, and endless ability to generate songs about anything and everything. While in high school, he performed with the NNHS Scene Players and the Summer Place Community Theater. His last performance was in his favorite musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, with the Little Theater Company of Fall River. He was devoted to the arts throughout his life, and in particular loved jazz, classics of film and television, and British comedy.
He was a life-long fan of author and astronomer Carl Sagan. He was inspired by the wonder of the universe and majesty of nature. He loved fish, birds, and animals.
Along with his wife and parents, survivors include his daughter, Alexis Diane Fay of Fall River; his son, Carl Rousseau Fay of Fall River; a sister, Kathy Fay of Memphis, TN; and brother, Stephen Fay of Naperville, IL.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Sunday, April 19th
at 3 PM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA. Memorial Visitation will be Sunday from 1 to 3 PM prior to the service.
