Mr. Bart T. Viola, a resident of Lawrence for the past 11 years, formerly of East Boston and beloved husband of Gail L. (Rich) Viola, passed away suddenly at the Lawrence General Hospital on Monday morning, April 13, 2015. He was 56 years old.
Born in Boston on May 1, 1958, he was the beloved son of the late Michael A. and Barbara H. (Sharpe) Viola. Bart worked for the Boston Water & Sewer Department for more than 30 years. He loved sports and was an avid Bruins fan. He loved reading Comic Books. He leaves behind his beloved dogs Destiny and Demon. He will be dearly missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Gail, he is survived by his loving daughter's; Karla M. Viola of Omaha, Nebraska and Tara A. Viola of Lawrence. He was a great man and the best Dad and Husband to walk this planet. He leaves behind his sister Lisa M. and brother-in-law Charles R. Heres of Lawrence and his sister Helen T. of Winthrop, sister-in-law Lynda Viola of Lawrence, sister-in-law Kathy Viola of N.H. and many nieces and nephews; Amanda, Bernie, Christina, CJ, Johnny, Kayleen, Renee, Tia, Will and their respective spouses along with grand nieces and nephews. He was also the devoted brother of the late Bernie S. Viola, Michael J. Viola and Joseph H. Viola.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Thursday at 8 PM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will be private.
