Thompson, Charles A., 88, went home to his Lord, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Norton Audubon Hospital.
Charles was born in Rineyville, Kentucky to Frank & Julia (Thompson) Thompson.
He was a retired Dispatcher for Manheim Auto Auction, a WW II Army Veteran and a member of Incarnation Catholic Church.
He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and the Berlin U. S. Military Veterans Association and was an Avid U of K Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, F.J. and Walter Thompson; and two sisters, Helen Hart and Janie Dotson.
Survivors include his sons, Keith Thompson and Charles “Bobby” Thompson (Barbara); two grandchildren, Elizabeth & Jonathan; and four great grandchildren; two brothers, John Thompson (Rita) and Kenny Thompson (Sandy); three sisters, Anna Marie Thomas, Ruby Cecil (Elroy) and Mary Clara Cobb; two loving sisters-in-law, Sue & Effie Thompson; and a brother-in-law, James Dotson; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday at Incarnation Catholic Church, 2229 Lower Hunters Trace.
Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, Central at a later date.
Visitation will be Friday 2:00–8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
