Irene Jackson, 73, of Jenks Street, East Providence, died on her birthday, Sunday, April 12, 2015. She was wife of Ernest Jackson.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Raymond LaPorte and the late Vera (DiSano) Schimmel. She had lived in East Providence for 49 years.
She was a member of the East Providence Elks Emblem club.
She is survived by her daughters: Robin DelVecchio Bonetti of Warwick, Joyce Deschenes of Harmony and Brenda Duquette of Swansea. Her five grandchildren: Nicole and Christopher DelVecchio, Stephanie and Brandon Deschenes and Sydney Duquette. She was the sister of Rosemary Runkle of York, PA, Ernest LaPorte of Greene, RI and Lorraine Ware of Scituate. She was the sister of the late Raymond LaPorte
Private memorial service will be held Thursday at 1130am in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44, Greenville. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the ASPCA.
