Dorothy (Barton) Brunelle, 76, of Fairhaven died April 11, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late James and Aldea (Beauregard) Barton, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Fairhaven.
She was formerly employed as a secretary with the New Bedford School Department for many years until retirement.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Susan White and her husband Charles of Tequesta, FL and Diane Figueira and her companion Sylvester Santos of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren, Michael White, Brandi Brunelle and Tracey Charpentier; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kristen, Caitlyn and Gunnar.
She was the mother of the late Sharon Brunelle.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, April 16th at 10 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 11 AM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, April 15th from 4-7 PM.
