Jennie Mary (Kosciak) Kozak, age 97, of Bellingham died April 11, 2015 in Milford Regional Medical Center.
She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Kozak, who died in 1984.
Born in Somersville, Connecticut, a historical section of Somers, Connecticut, September 28, 1917, the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Anna (Pilch) Kosciak. Mrs. Kozak had lived in Uxbridge prior to moving to Bellingham 75 years ago.
Mrs. Kozak had worked in several area textile mills; they included Packard Mills in Caryville and Yarn Spun in Medway. Jennie was a devoted member of St. Brendan’s Church and was an avid Red Sox fan. She enjoyed cooking and was happiest being in her own home with her family surrounding her.
She is survived by her daughter Ann M. Brown of Bellingham and her son Thomas R. Kozak and his wife Joan of Blackstone . She is also survived by her sisters Celia Polucha of Whitinsville and Wanda Baron of Webster, her sister-in-law Julie Glockner of Boynton Beach, Florida and her brother –in-law John Kozak of Franklin. She was the sister of the late Louis and Edward Kosciak.
She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday April 15 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street Medway at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Brendan’s Church in Bellingham at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in funeral home.
