Edna May DeFusco, 88, formerly of Victory Highway, Chepachet died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag. She was the wife of the late Pasquale “Pat” DeFusco.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Edna (O’Connor) Martin. She had lived in Glocester since 1949. Along with her husband she had owned and operated the former Lakeview Restaurant in Glocester before retiring in 1995.
Edna May was a communicant of St. Eugene’s Church, a member of the Glocester Senior Citizens, the Laurel Grange and was past President of the Putnam Emblem Club.
She is survived by her children: Jean M. St Hilaire and her husband David of Putnam, CT., Judith A. Monfils and her husband Bruce of Smithfield and Patrick E. DeFusco and his wife Denise of Brooklyn, CT., her eight grandchildren: her six great-granchildren: and a sister Grace Thatcher of Dayville, CT. She was the mother of the late Joseph R. DeFusco and sister of the late Arthur Martin, Jr.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Eugene’s Church, 1251 Putnam Pike, Glocester. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-7pm.
