Robert G. Deshaies, 69 of Derry, NH died on Friday April 10, 2015 at Parkland Medical Center, Derry surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Lawrence, MA on January 26, 1946, a son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Towler) Deshaies. He had been a resident of Derry for the past 35 years, formerly living in Lawrence. Bob retired after more than 30 years at Raytheon in Andover and Lowell, MA. Bob was an avid stamp collector and an active collaborator in the Derry Little League and Babe Ruth baseball league for more than 25 years. He also enjoyed going to the movies and loved a good shoot-em up movie.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Theresa (Roy) Deshaies of Derry, two sons, Robert Deshaies and his wife Nora of Derry, and Gerard Deshaies of Portsmouth, NH, one daughter, Dorothy Charest and her husband Wayne of New Boston, NH, two grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathaniel Charest of New Boston, NH, one brother, Richard Deshaies of Salem, NH, one sister, Denise Deshaies of New Boston, NH, also many nieces, nephews, and loyal and caring friends.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday April 15, 2015 from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Derry Little League.
