Helene (Bertrand) Tremblay, 89, of Manchester, died April 10, 2015 at Villa Crest Retirement Community after a period of declining health.
She was born in Liege, Belgium on February 28, 1926 to Leopold and Marie (Lemaire) Bertrand. She grew up in Belgium then lived in Manchester for many years.
Helene was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Maurice Tremblay, who died in 1999. She enjoyed cooking Belgium food.
The family includes two children, Herve Tremblay and his wife, Linda, of Manchester and Anne Marie Schenck and her husband, Deshler, of Hooksett; four grandchildren, Aaron Tremblay and his wife, Julie, Jonathan Schenck, Gregory Schenck and his wife, Kelly and Chandra Tremblay; four great grandchildren, Adam and Morgan Tremblay and Emma and Owen Schenck; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Catherine Church, Webster Street, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Augustin Cemetery, South Beech St., Manchester.
