Obituary

Judith M. (Shea) Fogarty, 69, of Holden formerly of Worcester died Friday, April 10th at home surrounded by her family. Her husband, John “Jack” F. Fogarty died in 1999. She leaves three sons, James T. Toohil of Worcester, Jeffrey M. Toohil and his wife, Jessica of Rochdale, and Jerry M. Toohil and his wife, Tara of Worcester; a daughter, Julianne S. Jarry and her husband, Chip of Leicester; two brothers, James E. Shea and his wife, Linda of Hudson and Arthur D. Shea and his wife, Joan of Marblehead; six grandchildren, Christopher and Meghan Jarry, Jimmy, Shannon, Jack and Jane Toohil and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Madeline A. Shea.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Arthur F. and Marguerite (Donahue) Shea. Judy worked for the Worcester Public School Department for many years as a secretary, retiring in 2008. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and the secretary’s union for the Worcester Public Schools. Judy enjoyed reading, trips to Foxwoods and summers at Wells Beach, ME, winters at Boynton Beach, FL and spoiling her children and grandchildren.
Judy’s family would like to thank the people that provided her loving care during her time of need. Thank you to St. Vincent Hospital and Cancer Center Nurses and PCA’s especially Ashley Davis and the staffs of VNA Care Network and Visiting Angels. A very special thank you to Gloria Grasseschi.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 14th from 8:30 until 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by her funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1154 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
