Obituary

Boscawen, NH----Wesley “Wes” J. Tavizon, 55, of Boscawen died on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Concord Hospital after a sudden illness.
Wes was born at the Fort Huachuca Army Base in Arizona on June 16, 1959. He was raised and grew up in the Alto Loma/Ontario, California area until he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. in 1977 and was Honorably Discharged in 1983. After returning to California he met and then married his wife Linda. After several years of living in California they made the road trip to live in New Hampshire where he would stay for the next twenty years. Upon their arrival Wes immediately applied for work at what was then Stead Aviation at the Manchester Airport and called the Line Service Supervisor every single day for six weeks until the Supervisor got so sick of his calls he hired him. Wes worked at Stead Aviation / Wiggins Airways / Signature Flight for the next twenty years until his death.
Anyone who knew Wes would tell you he was quite the character. He lived life to the fullest and took a strange joy and pride in getting into any type of trouble – which was very often. He knew he was in big trouble when someone would call him “Wesley” instead of just Wes. He gave the best hugs and made you laugh whenever you saw him. He especially enjoyed fishing (although never caught anything, except for one rabbit while fishing with his friend Walter) and camping with friends and family. Wes had many great friends, made great memories with each, and will be greatly missed by all but never forgotten.
Wes is survived by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Linda Houle-Tavizon, his son Stephen Tavizon and grandchildren Makenna and Karder all of Marietta, Georgia; his mother Gina Thomas of Palm Desert, California; his sisters Cynthia DuBois, Renee Chipman and Sherry Thomas-Blaka and their families all of Southern California; his mother-in-law June Houle, father-in-law Richard Houle and his wife Susan and his brother/sister-in-laws Nancy Houle, Donald Houle, Wayne & Denise Houle, Coleen Poire, David & Karen Houle and Jim & Judy Shevlin all of the Lakes Region Area, as well as several beloved nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the NH Veteran’s Cemetery, 110 DW Highway, Boscawen at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. A Celebration of his life will be held immediately after at Alan’s Restaurant in Boscawen. All are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758540, Topeka, KS 66675-8540 who recently helped Wes’s family members.
