Helm Sr, Freddy H. of Taylorsville KY passed away Tuesday April 7, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. Born in Louisville, KY
he was in sales at Far Out Music for over 30 years. Freddy was a master at playing the saxophone for many years, Freddy played with the Sultans, the Wulfe Brothers, Dave Otahl Duo, King Louie Knight, Allen McCoy at the Do-Drop Inn. He played at the Scottsburg, Corydon, and Shepherdsville Jamborees, also worked with the Doo-Wop All-Stars on occasion, and played with Ray Burton and Takes Two; he was a member of Calvary Christian Center in Mount Washington, KY; he was a Mason and was in the Army Reserve.
Preceded in death by his Parents Jesse and Eileen Helm and Sister Joyce Lee.
He is survived by his Wife Vicki L. (Raymer) Helm; his Children Freddy H. Helm, Jr., Timothy Wayne Helm, Sher Ann Helm, and Michael Keith Helm; Three brothers Robert, Cecil, and Stanley Helm; a sister Debbie Marker. Five Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be Thursday 1 pm at the Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown 9318 Taylorsville Rd.
Burial will be in The Weldon Christian Cemetery in Brandenburg
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 am till 9 pm and Thursday from 11 am till 1 pm at the Funeral Home.
