Obituary

Rudolphe J. Roy, 91, of Bedford, died April 4, 2015 at his home after a period of declining health.
He was born in Manchester on November 20, 1923 to Telesphore and Yvonne (Lafleur) Roy. He grew up in the Pinardville section of Goffstown then lived in Bedford for many years. He graduated from Hesser Business College.
During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy as a radarman 2nd class.
Rudolphe worked as a carpenter with the Carpenters and Millwrights Local 1996 for 55 years. He also taught carpentry to apprentice classes for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling and was an avid Red Sox fan.
The family includes his wife of 67 years, Beatrice D. (Abreu) Roy of Bedford; a son, Paul Roy and his wife, Linda, of Bedford; three grandchildren, Ben Roy, Kristyn McCartney and Ryan McCartney; a brother, Maurice Roy and his wife, Bernice, of St. Augustine, FL; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and three siblings, Raymond Roy, Leo Roy and Cecile Beaudoin.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Raphael Church, 103 Walker St., Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
