Mary Theresa Alati, 83, of Londonderry, NH passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving children and family. She was born on January 3, 1932 in Oyster Bay, NY, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Kiernan) Donohue. Terry, as she was known, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. To her, family was paramount and her crowning achievement was her children. She will be remembered as being a nurturer and a woman of strong faith. Terry was very active in St. Jude Parish where she was a Eucharistic Minister.
She is survived by her nine children, Mary Santucci of Ledgewood, NJ, Margaret Doolittle of Mahwah, NJ, Thomas Alati of Glen Ridge, NJ, Theresa Davis of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Patricia Poltak of Manchester, NH, Nicholas Alati of Bedford, NH, Jean Velasquez of Hooksett, NH, Regina Sutton of Nashua, NH, and Brian Alati of Portsmouth, NH; 27 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Nicholas Alati as well as all four of her siblings, Bernard Donohue, Margaret Collins, Thomas Donohue, and Martin Donohue.
Calling hours were held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 4 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. Burial followed in the NH State Veterans Cemetery, DW Highway Boscawen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
