TAUNTON – Robert J. “Dicky” Goulart, Sr., husband of Beverly A. (Pimental) Goulart, died at his Taunton home on April 5, 2015.
He was 73.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Matthew H. and Annie L. (DeCosta) Goulart.
He was a lifelong Taunton resident.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War,
Dicky worked as a self-employed flooring installer for many years.
He enjoyed traveling, cruising, playing cards, camping, especially in New Hampshire and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Robert J. Goulart, Jr. and his wife JoAnn of Assonet and Wayne M. Goulart and his fiancé Kerry of Taunton; a daughter, Rebecca Dorsey and her husband Kenneth of Taunton; two brothers, David W. Goulart and Richard A. “Skeeta” Goulart both of Taunton; a dear niece, Bonnie Goulart and her husband Matthew of Taunton; three sisters, Anna E. Medeiros and Andrea Butler both of Taunton, and Joanne Guimond of E. Taunton; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Matthew H. Goulart, Jr. and Sandra Roderick and the uncle of the late Robert Pimental.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, April 9th at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 8th from 5 to 8 p.m.
