Grady Vinson “Sandy” Tanner, Jr., 61, of Enigma passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, at Abbeville Healthcare & Rehab in Abbeville. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Teresa Byrd and Joseph Shear will give eulogies. Mr. Tanner will be laid to rest at a later date. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 9, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Tanner was born August 14, 1953 in Big Spring, Texas, the son of Barbara Lee Owens of Tifton and the late Grady Vinson Tanner, Sr. He was raised in Tift County and attended Tift County Schools.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Tanner is survived by two sons, Vince Tanner of Fox Lake, Illinois and Randall Tanner of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Jordan Poirier of Bloomer, Wisconsin; one brother, Tommy Tanner of Abbeville; and one grandson, Cade James Poirier of Bloomer, Wisconsin.
