Obituary

John E. Alexander, Sr., 87, of Medway, passed into the presence of his Lord Jesus on April 2, 2015 after a brief illness with his family beside him at Medway Country Manor.

He leaves his loving wife of 51 years, Audrey (Rogers) Alexander, formerly of Wellesley, five sons, John, Jr., Wayne, Mark, Roland and his partner Cathy, and George and his wife Melissa, a daughter Nancy, all who live locally, 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Spear who died in 1981.

Mr. Alexander proudly served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a devoted Christian since 1974 and faithfully attended the Gospel Hall.

A printer for most of his life, Mr. Alexander owned his own business in Medway for 25 years. He also drove a school bus for 23 years, mostly for Connolly & Sons of Walpole, driving in Medway, Holliston and Hopkinton, and retired in 2003.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, April 8 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m
