Auburn-Elizabeth A. (Johnson) Alfreds, 72 of Auburn passed away Thursday, April 2 in St. Vincent Hospital.
She leaves three children, Richard P. Alfreds of Worcester; Douglas R. Alfreds, Jr., his wife Ursula and their children, Tucker and Alex of Brimfield; Jodi Early, her husband Andrew and their children, Grace, Drew and Amelia of Paxton. Her loving son Kevin M. Alfreds with whom she lived predeceased her last December. Two brothers, Charles J. Johnson, Jr. and William P. Johnson, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Charles J. and Eleanor J. (Coffey) Johnson.
Betty worked at Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission for over 20 years and retired in 2008. She was a home health aide her entire working career. Betty was a hard worker and her enjoyment came from helping others. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother beyond words.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 8, at 11:00AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales St, Worcester. Burial will be private.
