Obituary

Albert A. Lucier, 79, of Worcester died Thursday, April 2nd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He leaves his six children, Paul, Brenda, Kathy, Joan, Sean and Aimee; three brothers, Walter and his wife, Charlotte, Dan and his wife, Connie and Jim and his wife, Barbara; two sisters, Sue and her husband, John Evans and Judy Hannum; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers, Leonard Woodward and Ken Lucier; and a sister, Celeste Gilchrist.
He was born in Grafton the son of Alex and Mary (Sampson) Lucier. Al graduated from Fisherviller School and attended St. John’s High School and Worcester Jr. College. He served as a drafting apprentice at the former Whitin Machine Work and for many years as an engineer for Ratheon Electronics Co., retiring 20 years ago due to illness. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. Al enjoyed golf, fishing, photography and listening to music.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, April 6th from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church followed by his funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street. Please omit flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Al’s name to Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
