Mary A. McGilvray, 80, of Goodhue Rd., Derry, NH died Wednesday April 10, 2002 at her home. Mrs. McGilvray was born in Livingston, NY on October 31, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Smith) Shook. She had resided in Redhook, NY prior to moving to Derry, NH in June 2001. She had been employed as a cook for the Adventist Nursing Home in Livingston, NY for 29 years. Mrs. McGilvray had attended Grace Bible Church, Rhinebeck, NY.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Baldasty, Derry, NH, her grandchildren, Steven and Katherine Baldasty, Derry, NH, step grandchildren, Keith and Daniel McGilvray, Redhook, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth McGilvray who died in 1981.
There are no services at this time. It was Mrs. McGilvray’s wish to donate her body to Boston University Medical School, Boston, Ma, to benefit medical science. The Peabody Funeral Home, Derry, NH is handling arrangements.
