Obituary

William F. Kline a Needham resident for over 50 years died on Monday January 24th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham. He was 92 years old. Mr. Kline was an avid boater. He founded and was the first Commander of the Great Blue Hill Power Squadron. He taught safe boating classes for free to boaters with no experience. Mr. Kline was a Past District Commander of the U.S. Power Squadron. An accomplished musician, he played Double Bass at Opera, Symphonies and dances. Mr. Kline played in the Boston College Band for 2 years. He was a volunteer at the former Glover Hospital, now Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham since 1987. The beloved husband of the late Ann (Hoehn), he is survived by his step daughter Virginia James of Keene NH. Arrangements by the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave, Needham.
