Marie C. Kelley, age 70, of Woburn formerly of Arlington, passed away January 29th following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of William A. Kelley. Born in Chelsea she was the daughter of the late Mary (McCann) and Frank L. Hennessey.
Marie was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph Acadamy in Brighton. She was very athletic in her youth and enjoyed music and playing the piano. She was extremely devoted to her family and was very actively involved in all aspects of her childrens schooling and recreation. She was the founding secretary of the St. Agnes Grammar School Mothers Club and was a member of the Parents Guild of St. Pauls Choir School in Cambridge. Memorial contributions may be made in Marie´s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Central New England Chapter, 101A First St., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02154.
In addition to her beloved husband, Marie is survived by her children; William A. Jr. and his wife Maria of Wilmington, Brian F. and his wife Patty of Leominster, Robert J. and his wife Susan of Woburn, Ted and his wife Andrea of Arlington, Marie “ReRe” Kelley of Leominster, Carolyn Churcher and her husband John also of Leominster. She was the loving grandmother of Sean, Andrew, and Jeffrey Kelley, Jake, Kelley, and Kaitlyn Churcher. She is also survived by her sisters Leona Dolan of West Roxbury and Eileen Hennessey of Arlington. She is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Marie is preceded in death by her brothers, Frank David and Donald Hennessey.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday at 10 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 30 Medford St., Arlington, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday and Wednesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
