Florence M. (Carty) O’Connor, 96, formerly of Hancock St. died Saturday, Jan. 29, in the St. Francis Home.
Her husband, Michael F. O’Connor Sr. died in 1974. She leaves a son, Michael F. and his wife Margaret Ann O’Connor of Worcester; two grandchildren, Patricia R. O’Connor of Jupiter, FL and Susan M. O’Connor of Westborough and their mother Michelle O’Connor of Worcester. Two brothers, James and Patrick Carty of County Roscommon, Ireland, predeceased her. She was born in Rooskey, County Roscommon, Ireland, daughter of Patrick and Mary Jane (McDonough) Carty.
Florence was a member of St. Peter’s Church and its Women’s Guild.
A private funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation St. Worcester, 01604. FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. is directing arrangements.
