Obituary

Kingston, NH – Arthur E. Chechowitz, 68 of Kingston, NH, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Clipper Harbor Care and Rehabilitation in Portsmouth, NH.

Born in Lawrence on July 18, 1946, Arthur was the son of Alexander and Lucy (Kupiec) Chechowitz. He graduated from Methuen High School in 1964. He was the lifetime owner and operator of Arthur E. Chechowitz Trucking and also worked at Zurbach Steel of Salem, NH for 25 years until his retirement. Arthur was a member of the Hampton River Boat Club and the Studebaker Driver’s Club. He was also an avid outdoorsman.

Arthur will be deeply missed by his 2 sons, Stephen J. Chechowitz of Berwick, ME and Matthew J. Chechowitz of Derry, NH; his daughter, Jean Marie McNamara of Exeter, NH; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; his brother, Thomas Chechowitz of Jamestown, California; and his dog, Justice.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Arthur’s life by gathering for calling hours on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 4 to 8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. His funeral service will take place on Saturday at 9 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested, in Arthur’s honor, memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
