Marjorie Ann (Frederick) Tucker, 80, of Chester, NH, formerly of Woburn, MA. Mrs. Tucker, wife of 49 years of the late Walter A. Tucker who preceded her in death in 2009, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Aurora Senior Living Center of Derry, NH. Born in Somerville, MA on December 24, 1934, she was the foster daughter of the late Howard G. and Pearl (Noseworthy) Bull of Melrose, MA. She was a resident of Chester, NH since 1987, formerly of Woburn, MA for more than 25 years.
Mrs. Tucker was a former employee of Data Technology of Woburn, MA & CLM of Wilmington, MA, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Woburn prior to moving to NH. She was a foster mother to Sharon L. Rogers of Lawrence, MA for 19 years. She was an avid reader, loved to knit & crochet, and she loved to bake, especially her special “Nana cake”.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Mallory of Chester, NH; one son, Kenneth Tucker and wife, Valerie of Woburn, MA; one grandson, Patrick Mallory of Manchester, NH; one granddaughter, Victoria Tucker of Woburn, MA. She leaves one brother Paul Frederick of Leesburg, FL; and two sisters, Carol Stowell of Billerica, MA & Gloria Peach and her husband Herbert of North Reading, MA. She also leaves five foster sisters, Laura Osgood and husband, Neil of Boxford, MA; Pamela Eckers and husband, John of Saugus, MA; Sheryl Hallahan of Barrington, NH; Sharon Robertson of Naples, FL, Alice McKenney of Wakefield, MA. She leaves a brother in law, Harris (Sonny) Tucker, Jr. and wife, Mary of Alton, NH; sister in law Marion Danforth of Carmel, IN. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Ernest and Clifford; and one sister, Virginia.
Graveside services were held on Saturday May 16, 2015 at the Great Hill Cemetery, Rt. 121A, Chester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 166 So. River Road #210, Bedford, NH 03110. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
