Rockland - Dianne J. (Lynch) Armand 75 of Rockland passed away quietly Monday March 30, after a long illness.
Born and raised in Boston she was the daughter of the late Leo and Jeannette (Snelders) Lynch and a graduate of Dorchester High School, Class of 1957.
After retiring from Travelers Insurance of Quincy, Dianne became an active member of the Rockland community, moving to Leisurewoods where she had helped with the new resident orientations and volunteering at the food pantry of the Holy Family Church.
She loved playing cribbage and dancing but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Using her crocheting skills she had truly enjoyed making and giving gifts for her family and friends.
She was the wife of Edward Armand for 29 years and sister of Leo T. Lynch of Peabody. She was the beloved mother of five sons and a daughter; Thomas Armand and his wife Karen of Bridgewater, Timothy Armand and his wife Brenda of East Bridgewater, Troy Armand and his wife Christine of East Bridgewater, Todd Armand and Tracy Armand both of Weymouth and Tanya (Armand) Stanton and her husband Patrick of West Bridgewater. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren; David, Miles, Henry, Emily, Timmy Jr., Jeannette, KellieAnne, Sean, Takai, Stephanie and Patrick, who had all enjoyed spending time with her during her healthier years. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Lynch.
Her services will be held Wednesday April 8 at 9:30 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, East Bridgewater. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday April 7 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
