Russell A. Allen, age 90, of Attleboro, formerly of Norton passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Golden Living Center Garden Place in Attleboro.
He was the beloved husband of Jeannette M. (Champagne) Allen to whom he was wed on April 23, 1949.
Born in Attleboro, MA on February 10, 1925, he was a son of the late Arthur T. and Isabel (Campbell) Allen. He grew up in Attleboro and was educated in Attleboro public schools.
During WWII, Russ enlisted in the United States Navy on February 9, 1943. Following nearly three years of proud service to his country, he was honorably discharged from active service with the rank of Seaman First Class.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Allen had worked as a machinist for the Checon Corporation in Attleboro and also at the Mason Box Company in North Attleboro.
For the past 20 years he had made his home in Attleboro and had formerly resided in Norton. He was a member of the Ezekiel Bates Masonic Lodge A.F. &A.M. in Attleboro and was a former active member of the Second Congregational Church, also in Attleboro.
When younger, Russ was an avid golfer and a former member of the Norton Country Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted daughters Judy L. Hall and her husband True of Norton and Jana L. Regan and her husband James of Attleboro. He was the loving grandfather of Taylor Hall, Cam Hall, Sean Vacher, Nicole Vacher and Aidan Lynch. He was predeceased by his twin brother Robert Allen, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Private services with military honors will be held at the convenience of his family.
