Northfield------John William Lepelley, 73, of Zion Hill Road, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at home surrounded by family and his loving wife Josephine of forty three years of marriage.
John was born on January 27, 1942 in Somerville, Mass. the son of John C. and Margaret (McPhee) Lepelley. He had been a resident of Northfield for the past forty three years.
John spent his life in antiques, cabinet making, furniture stripping and repair, starting at the age of nine for Bill “Hoppie” Hopkinson building his knowledge of his life work. John enjoyed spending time at his camp in Holland, Vermont. He most of all loved his dog “Lucky” and to his granddaughter Izzy he was her special “Pa”.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine (Tilton) Lepelley, of Northfield; a son Scott Lepelley , and his wife, Crystal, of Northfield; three daughters, Tammy Guidi, of North Carolina, Lisa Omedo, and her husband, Doug, of Georgia and Cyndi Eden, of Illinois; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Lepelley, and his wife, Caryl, of California; three sisters, Mildred Jameson, and her husband, Ronnie, of Tilton, Barbara Chretien, and her husband, Chris, of Franklin, Dottie Prentiss, of Belmont; two sister-in-laws, Mary Eden and her husband, Robert and Judy Lepelley and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents John was predeceased by a younger brother Bradford Lepelley, a younger sister Vera Prescott and a brother-in-law Ray Prentiss.
There are no calling hours or funeral service at John’s request.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to Central New Hampshire VNA & Hospice, 780 North Main St, Laconia, N. H. 03246 or to the charity of one’s choice.
