KANE, John J. Of Dedham formerly of Brighton, peacefully surrounded by his family on March 17, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Ruth L. (Mosher) Kane. Devoted father of John Kane and his wife Nancy of Attleboro, Richard Kane (Chief of Police, Exeter, NH) and his wife Elizabeth of Exeter, NH, Elizabeth Carabia and her husband Robert of Dedham, Michael Kane (Det. BPD) and his wife Mitzi of Dedham, Ruthanne Smith and her husband Thomas of Attleboro, Sharon Wood and her husband David of Walpole, and the late infant Janet. Loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren. Brother of the late Buddy, Bobby, and Billy Kane, Mary Woods, and Helen Whelan. Son of the late Hugh J. and Helen E. (Waters) Kane.
Retired employee of the MBTA. Korean War Veteran, U.S. Navy. Member of the Boston Carmen’s Union Local 589 and the Tin Can Sailors Association.
Funeral Mass at St. Anne Church, 79 West Milton St., READVILLE, Friday, Apr. 10 at 11:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
