Whitney S. Turner, 10, of Sandown, NH, died Friday, January 28, 2005 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH from injuries sustained in an accident. Whitney was born in Derry on October 31, 1994, a daughter of Robert E. and Cheryl A. (Meisner) Turner III. She was a lifelong resident of Sandown. Whitney was a student at Sandown Central School where she was studying in advanced level classes. She enjoyed sports and was currently playing basketball. She was a member of the Girl Scouts, Swiftwater Council, and was a communicant of St. Anne's Parish in Hampstead. Whitney was a beautiful child in body and soul. She loved outdoor activities, animals and children.
In addition to her parents of Sandown, she is survived by two brothers, Robert E. Turner IV of Jacksonville, FL, Matthew M. Turner of Sandown, her grandparents, Betty and Bob Turner of Hampstead, NH, Judith Sikorski and her husband Richard of Port Charlotte, FL,her great-grandmother, Sadie LaFrancis of Methuen, MA, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 1st at 10:30am in St. Anne's Parish, Emerson Ave., Hampstead, with cremation following. Friends may call on Monday from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
