Jane E. Keeler


MYSTIC: Jane E. Keeler, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2005, at Mystic Manor.

She was born August 8, 1914, in New London, CT, the daughter of Josephine (Hentnik) and John Dlugolencki. She attended the Williams School in New London.

Jane was married for 42 years to Edward Carroll Keeler, Jr. on February 10, 1934, who predeceased her on February 15, 1976. First and foremost in her life have always been her children and grandchildren. They brought her the most happiness and she greatly enjoyed being a part of their lives whenever possible. She will be especially remembered for her devotion to her family.

Jane is survived by her two sons, Charles C. Keeler of Ledyard and Robert J. Keeler of Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven Keeler of Stonington, Laurie Benshoof of Groton, Scott Keeler of Ledyard, and Robert and John Keeler of Virginia. In addition, she is survived by her three great-grandchildren whom she adored, Julie and Holly Benshoof of Groton, and Steven Keeler, Jr. of Stonington, and a brother, John Linski of Montville.

A Memorial Service will be private and there are no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the Patient Recreation Fund, Mystic Manor, 475 High Street, Mystic CT 06355. The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, historic downtown Mystic is assisting the family.
