Elizabeth Elaine Wheeler, 87, of Derry, NH, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry. She was born in Augusta, Maine on September 1, 1927, a daughter of the late George E. and Ruth C. (Morang) Pennell. Betty graduated from Waterville High School Class on 1945 in Waterville, Maine then she continued her education at UNH in Durham, NH where she received an Associates Degree. She was employed as an Occupational Therapist for the Derry, Salem, Hudson and Litchfield School Systems.
Surviving family include one son, James Wheeler, two grandsons, Maro Pappalardo and Walter Lee Greenwood. Also, two sisters, Barbara Booth and Katherine Whalen as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased in death by her parents, two sons, Richard and Bobbly Wheeler and two daughters, Margaret Wheeler and Janie Pappalardo.
At the request of Betty Wheeler and her family there will be no public services. Private burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is in charge of the arrangements.
