June M. DelGrosso
Oblate Novitiate Volunteer
TEWKSBURY: June M. (MacKeil) DelGrosso, age 83, a resident of Tewksbury for more than 60 years, most recently of the Carnation Drive Housing Community, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015.
She was the beloved wife of Anthony DelGrosso, Sr. who passed away on August 13, 2003.
Born in Natick on June 27, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Louis M. MacKeil and the late Marion E. (Dreusha) MacKeil.
June attended Natick schools and graduated from Natick High School. Following high school she attended Ithaca College in New York.
She was a longtime communicant of St. William's Parish, where she was a former member of the Sodality. In earlier years, June participated and performed in the St. William's Church talent shows.
In addition, she was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center.
June previously worked for the Tewksbury Public School Lunch Program and was a volunteer at the Oblate Infirmary.
June is survived by two sons, Joseph M. DelGrosso and his wife Barbara of Lowell and Anthony DelGrosso, Jr. of Manchester, NH ; four grandchildren, Anthony F., Nicholas, Joseph and Robert; one sister, Lois Hakins of Bellingham; also many nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet at St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury on Wednesday, April 1, at 10 a.m. for her Memorial Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Kindly Omit Flowers. Donations in June's memory may be made to the Oblate Infirmary, 486 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876.
