Obituary

Sylvia (Golden) Greenberg, 86, of Revere and Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Chelsea, loving wife of the late Charles Greenberg, died March 28th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers, surrounded by her family. Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Max and Tilly (Bratt) Golden and the sister of late Dr. Isaac Golden. Raised and educated in Chelsea, a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1947. She was a lifelong member of the Shurtleff Street shul, a member of the Congregation Sons of Israel, Peabody, Congregation 420, a member of CJNH Ladies Auxiliary and Chelsea Club FL, and a member of the Sisterhood at Temple Emmanuel in Chelsea. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Weinstein) Swartz and her husband Bruce of Peabody, her dear sister Mildred Goldman, and her loving grandchildren Michael & Kristen Swartz, Atty. Kenneth Swartz & Jolyn DeGeorge, Tami Swartz & Darren Khan, and great grandson Charlie Swartz. Her funeral service will be held from the Torf Funeral Chapel 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea, Tuesday, March 31, at 1 PM, followed by burial in Mishna Cemetery 232 Fuller Street, Everett. Donations in her memory can be made to the Jimmy Fund Cancer Research 10 Brookline Pl. West 6th Fl. Brookline, MA 02445-7226 or Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923. Memorial observance will be held following the interment, from the home of Susan & Bruce Swartz until 8 PM, then Wednesday and Thursday 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM, and Friday, 2-5 PM.
