Carleton M. (Carl) Emery, 90, of North Andover, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015. He was the husband of the late Beulah (Bea) Emery who passed away on March 6th, 2015. They celebrated their 65 years of Marriage on July 9th (from 1949). Mr. Emery was born on August 15th, 1924 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Hazen and Hazel M. Emery, of Merrimac, MA. He was a graduate of Merrimac, MA High School, and Suffolk University, Boston, MA. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a U.S. Navy Bomber Pilot.
He retired from the Superior Plating Company in Southport, CT., where he was Sales Manager for 37 years. Carl enjoyed gardening and singing, and a lively Political discussion. He had been a member of the Southbury Heritage Village River-Garden Club, and was a long-time member of the Heritage Singers, as a youth, he participated in all sports and was a loyal Boston Red Sox and U-Conn Basketball Fan. He was a Past-Master of Aspetuck Lodge, #142, Easton, CT., as well as a Scottish and York Rite Mason. He was also a member and past president of the Twilight Club of Bridgeport, CT., being the Dean of its Membership. Carl Emery actively served his church for over 60 years.
Mr. Emery is survived by his son, Douglas M. Emery, and his wife Kathleen of McEwen, TN., his Daughter Jane L. Kowalski and her husband, Michael, and their twin daughters, Emma and Abigail of North Andover, MA. Also a sister Priscilla E. Weismann, of Hanover, NH, and a brother Richard W. Emery and his wife Elizabeth of Merrimac, MA and as well as several nieces and nephews.
