Gerald F. Musiak, 61 of 49 Lake Street died Friday Jan. 28 in St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 33 years Kathryn E. (Kozloski) Musiak, a daughter Elizabeth A. Musiak of Somerville, his mother Veronica (Okula) Musiak of Concord, a sister Janice Duffy of Concord,and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Musiak was born in Greenfield, son of the late Frank Musiak. He graduated from Greenfield High School, Salem State College and received his Masters Degree in Education from Worcester State College. He was a business teacher for 37 years at David Prouty High School in Spencer retiring in 2004. He coached baseball and softball at David Prouty High School, was the faculty manager of the athletic dept., and director of Prouty PM. He also was on the David Prouty High School Scholarship Committee and a class advisor. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. He enjoyed spending the summers in Wells, Maine with his family and was an avid fisherman. He was an incredibly loving and devoted husband and father.
The funeral will be held Monday Jan. 31 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Following cremation, burial of ashes will be in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery at the Convenience of the family. Calling hours are Sunday Jan. 30 from 1:00-4:00 PM in the funeral home.
