NEW BEDFORD — Linda L. Homen, age 69 years, of New Bedford, died at home on Monday, March 23, 2015. Daughter of the late Anthony F. and Elsie M. (Vera) Homen, she was born in Acushnet and lived in New Bedford most of her life.
She worked for many years in the golf ball division of Acushnet Company and was a communicant of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church. Linda was active with Mass, Alliance for HUD tenants and coalition for basic human needs.
She is survived by daughters Cheryl Wilson and Diane Andre of New Bedford, a brother Kenneth Homen of Tenn., a sister Carol Roy of R.I. and several grand and great grandchildren.
Linda was mother of the late James C. Gonzalez, and Jose E. Gonzalez, Jr. and sister of the late Melba Morin, Vera Home, Paula Homen and Sandra Cottle.
Visitation will take place on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. in the WILSON CHAPEL 479 County St., New Bedford with prayers at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. www.wilsonchapel.net
