Obituary

DRACUT—Lawrence D. “Larry” Kelleher, 50 years old, a lifelong resident of Greater Lowell, died Friday morning at his home after a brief illness.

He was born in Lowell, on August 21, 1954, a son of Antoinette “Toni” (DePrenda) Kelleher, of Dracut, and the late James J. Kelleher, who died in 1974. He was a graduate of St. Michael’s Grammar School and Lowell High School.

Mr. Kelleher worked as a mechanic at the former Simard’s Gas Station, in Lowell. More recently, he was a custodian at the East End Club, in Lowell, where he also held membership. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church.

Surviving him besides his mother are a brother and sister-in-law: James J. and Barbara Kelleher, of Lebanon, NH; two sisters: Cynthia A. Kelleher, and her fiancé Ralph DiPesa; and Judith M. Kelleher, all of Chelmsford; two nieces: Kristen and Katherine Kelleher; one nephew: James J. Kelleher, Jr.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call from 2 until 6 PM on Sunday, January 30th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Monday, January 31st, at 10 AM at ST. MICHAEL’S CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Lowell Visiting Nurse Association; P.O. Box 1965; Lowell, MA 01853.
