Jean E. Terrio, 59, of Manchester, NH, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester. Ms. Terrio was born in Woburn, MA on March 3, 1945, a daughter of the late Wilbur C. and Carolyn A. (Florian) McIntire Jr. She was a resident of Manchester for 18 years, formerly living in Londonderry, NH. She was a graduate of Burlington High School, Burlington, MA, Class of 1962. She later graduated from Perry Normal School , Boston, MA, Class of 1965 and received her Bachelors degree in Education from Salem State College. She was a teacher for the Derry School System for 35 years and enjoyed working with children. She also enjoyed skiing.
She is survived by one brother, Donald C. McIntire of Orlando, FL, one sister, Judith Geary of Maryland, one niece, one nephew, one grandniece, three grandnephews and her extended family Brian Magoon, Londonderry, NH and Sharon Silvia and family of Londonderry. She was predeceased by Scott Silvia, a member of her extended family.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Saturday January 29th at 10:00am at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Burial will be at a later date at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150-1160.
