Obituary

Maggie L. (Jackson) Webb, 73, of Worcester, formerly of Gastonia, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 8th in her home surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey A. Webb; her daughter, Sandra L. Webb, both of Worcester; four grandchildren, Shavarsh and Tatiana Morrissey of Roxbury and Kendra Webb and and Lailani Webb-Price of Worcester; two great grandchildren, Taykus Lauture and Jada Morrissey; two sisters, Luella Wells of Worcester and Barbara Brown of Bollingbrook, IL; a brother, Carnell Jackson of Gastonia, NC; nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She was predeceased by her mother, Alene Carbak Jackson, four brothers, Charles, Robert, Larry, and Tommy, and two sisters, Novella and Maryann.
Mary graduated from Highland High School in 1960 and moved to Worcester in 1967. She worked in the Denholm Building, at Parker Manufacturing, Allegro Microsystems, Bob’s Discount Furniture, and Dot’s. She enjoyed working, puzzles, and spoiling her grandkids. She was a member of John Street Baptist Church, where she was a former trustee and worked in the soup kitchen.
Her children would like to thank the UMass Oncology staff in the ACC building, the VNA Care Network & Hospice, and the Navicare staff.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Monday, March 30th with visitation from 9:30 until 11:00 A.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the UMass Memorial Foundation, Oncology Fund, 333 South Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
