Obituary

Richard “Dick” Allen Gardner, Sr. of Port Orange, FL passed away on February 23, 2015 surrounded by his loving family following a short illness.
He was born in Nashua, NH on October 18, 1948, the son of William S. and Dorothy (Johnson) Gardner. He graduated from high school in Manchester, NH in 1967, and married Echo G. Harden of Goffstown, NH on July 27, 1968. They remained happily married for 46 1/2 years. They bought their first home in Hooksett, NH in 1978. In 1990, they bought a home in Edgewater, FL, and later moved back to New Hampshire before returning to Florida in 2014.
Spending time with his family was always his first priority. He also enjoyed building cars from the 1960-70’s era. Carpentry was not only his vocation, but a hobby. He enjoyed fishing in general and landscaping his yard.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 46 1/2 years, Echo; his children, Tracey (Gary) Portigo, Peter (Nicole), Richard, Jr. (Kristin); his grandchildren Derek, Patrick, Madison, Tanner, Colby, Jack and Olivia and siblings Beverly and Paul Roukey, William “Bill”, Jim and Jeannie, Lynn, Ronnie and Carole, Craig, Bonnie and Debbie and Joe Richard. Also nieces and nephews David Roukey, Brenda Roukey, Shanda Pickhardt, Keith Gardner, Brian Gardner, Amy Gardner, Elizabeth Gardner, Heather Gardner, Cullen Gardner, Tyler Landry and Travis Richard, Gwen Fitz, Tiffany Simard, Adam Simard, Devon Harden, Kendra Harden, Brandon Nault, Jared Nault, Spencer Nault, and Wade Nault. And, last but not least grand puppies Abby, Charlotte, Daisey and Titan.
A service was held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 in the chapel at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St, Manchester.
