Barbara Ann Quattrini, 74, of Johnston, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home. She was the widow of Palmino “Paul” Quattrini, Jr.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Armand E. and Katerine H. (Dillon) Messier.
Mrs. Quattrini was a secretary for the Town of Smithfield in the Engineering Department for 20 years retiring in 2008. She was a former member of the Smithfield Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. Barbara was also an avid bowler, an admirer of lighthouses, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time. She had a deep admiration of her grandchildren, and could frequently be found in attendance at their baseball, basketball and soccer games cheering them on and applauding at their dance recitals.
She is survived by her children: Robin L. Laroche and her husband Gene of Smithfield, Alan P. Quattrini and his wife Jamie of Johnston, Steven M. Quattrini and his wife Lori, of Smithfield and Edward J. Quattrini and his wife Krista, of Smithfield and eleven grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Gentiva Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
